8 FREE RANDOM TOOLS

Choose the right randomizer for your activity

Magic Random includes tools for picking names, awarding prizes, making teams, revealing prompts, ordering participants, and making quick choices. Each mode follows different round behavior, so start with the purpose of the activity instead of using one wheel for every situation.

Start a draw in 3 steps

No account, software installation, or server upload of your list is required.

  1. 1

Choose a randomizer type or a relevant example

  2. 2

Edit names and choices, then set effects and repeat rules

  3. 3

Save, open the player, and reset when a new round is ready

Good randomization starts with a clear list and rules

Check duplicate names, blank entries, and eligibility before drawing. Tell participants whether repeats are allowed, and do not redraw merely because the first result is inconvenient. If a result affects prizes, education, or work, keep an appropriate official record and explain exceptions before the activity starts.

Randomizer lists stay on the device, not in an account

Lists, choices, prizes, and result history stay in localStorage in the browser where they were created. There is no user account or cross-device sync. Clearing site data or changing browsers can remove access, so do not store sensitive information or the only copy of an important record in a randomizer.

Frequently asked questions

Is Magic Random really free?+

Yes. Every randomizer is free, there is no Premium plan, and no account is required. Each browser can create and keep up to 10 lists.

Where are names and results stored?+

Names, choices, settings, and result history stay in localStorage in the current browser. They are not sent to the Magic Random database. Feedback is transmitted only when a user completes and submits the form.

How do I prevent a name or number from appearing twice?+

Enable no-repeat before saving. A selected name or number is held out until the round is reset. Prize and elimination modes also track the entries remaining in their current round.

Can I open the same list on another phone or browser?+

Not automatically. There is no account or sync service, so a list stays in the browser where it was created. Clearing site data or changing devices may make the original list unavailable.

Does the tool certify that an event is fair?+

The tool selects from a list and keeps local history, but organizers must still verify entries, publish rules before starting, and handle any legal or event-specific requirements.

Ready to create your own list?

Start from a blank list or an example, edit everything, and keep it in this browser.
