How we select results and review content

This page explains verifiable product behavior, the tool's limits, and the principles used to write and correct public information.

How a result is selected

When supported, Magic Random uses the Web Crypto API (`crypto.getRandomValues`) to select an index and rejects values that could introduce modulo bias. It falls back to `Math.random` only when Web Crypto is unavailable.

Wheel, scrolling-name, and celebration animations communicate the draw state; their visual position does not decide the result. Team mode shuffles with the same source and then distributes people across teams in order.

What fairness does and does not mean

Within a draw, every currently eligible option is selected from the same pool. No-repeat mode removes prior winners before the next draw, while prize mode checks both remaining entrants and available prize quantities.

Event fairness is broader than an algorithm. Organizers still need to verify entrants, eligibility, prize rules, and correction procedures. This tool is not a legally certified draw system or an independent audit service.

How guides are written

Guides begin with tasks the product actually supports, such as removing duplicate names, creating teams, controlling repeat winners, and understanding browser storage. Each guide should explain preparation, steps, and limits without promising features the product does not provide.

Tarot and zodiac content uses symbolic language for entertainment and reflection. It is not presented as scientific fact and must not replace medical, legal, financial, or other high-stakes professional advice.

Reviews and corrections

When product behavior, data practices, or service providers change, the related explanation must be reviewed. Page update dates indicate a content review; they are not automatically changed merely to make a page appear fresh.

If an explanation does not match the product, report the URL, steps, observed result, and expected result through Feedback without including personal data in the public message. The operator checks the code and actual behavior before correcting the page.

Advertising does not determine results or conclusions

Advertising helps cover hosting, feedback storage, and maintenance. Advertisers do not receive randomizer lists, choices, or results and cannot alter outcomes, recommendations, or guide conclusions.

Verify or report a correction

  • Rehearse with sample data before a real event
  • Keep the source list outside the browser when records matter
  • Check repeat rules and prize quantities before starting
  • Report errors with reproducible steps
